One week after graduation...
Two weeks after Katherine's 18th birthday...
Two days after Eric's track season...
It all changed.
Everything was packed as we woke up from our home beds for the last time. Katherine and Zach woke up
at 6:30 am, to sign the lease at 8:00. The problem was Eric not only had to sign the lease and move out, but he also
had to work at his infamous chuck E. cheese job.
So there Zach went at 7:15 wondering what was up with Eric. The problem was he wasn't quite awake, for he was still
recovering from a track party from the night before. As always, at the last minute, they escaped to Katherine's to go
and sign the lease.
The car ride was very cold, but we needed the top down to fit katherine's stuff in her convertible. Katherine was
stressed a little bit the recent event to happen, Zach was flabbergasted and excited to finally move out, and Eric was bloodshot,
and freezing as he wrapped up in a blanket in the backseat.
At around 8:00 our landlords went over the lease and we signed it. The house was awesome and it had a lot of character
(also cheap as hell!). There we were... officially moved out. But we couldn't sit and stare, we went to unpacking,
and Eric went off to work.
As Eric was making his less than par salary at Chuck's, Katherine and Zach went back and forth, back and forth, back
and forth. Until they moved most of Zach's and Kat's stuff in. Zach's mom came and helped them with getting situated.
Then they ate lunch.. at Subway!
Kat and Zach decided to do some cleaning. They spent numerous amounts on vaccums, flyswatters, grabage bags, and
many many more! Then Eric came home at 2:00, and we all laughed in peril as we vaccumed the floor.
Then at 4:00, Todd, Kat, Zach, and Eric went to kats to the queen size bed and frame. Zach and eric were lazy mothers
at the time and raided Kat's fridge by consuming loads of water. About an hour later, we loaded the bed on that hot,
dry 90 degree June day.
We came back to the apartment and found out the frame didn't match the bed, so we just plopped the box spring on the
ground and put the mattress on top and it hasn't changed since... then it just began... we had to go to Eric's.
We got to Eric's and we ran into Eric's emotional mother who pratically gave us all the food in her cupboards.
The others dawddled as Eric and packed all of his stuff into the trailor. Then the couch happened... the couch
it self was wider then Eric's staircase, so it took us a good 30 minutes to lift the the thing outta the house and into the
truck.
After 3 hours of sittin around and wavering whether or not, we should take Eric's stuff that night, we finally left at
9:15. Zach thankfully rode with Eric in the cramped cavalier, but was no where worse than Kat's situation, in a 5 seat
truck with Eric's 5 family members. We don't how she survived the hour drive, but she conquered.
Finally at the apartment, we moved everything in at about 11:30. Zach's dad liked the apartment and it took
Eric's parents about 2 hours to finally leave.
The roomates celebrated by eating their first of many meals together (Ramen and wine). And spent the night in a
tired awe. We were oficially in.
After that it was a new challenge...
A new beginning...
A new Life...
